the self centre, Bury St Edmunds

a special place to relax, unwind and simply be yourself – a place of sanctuary

About

The Self Centre offers a wide range of classes in Yoga, Pilates, Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Barre, and Mindfulness Meditation as well as a wide selection of traditional and complementary therapies.

We run many workshops throughout the year covering everything from expanding your yoga practice to building confidence or surviving menopause!

With three, studios, ten therapy rooms, and a friendly café we are one of the town’s best-kept secrets.

Founded in 2005, our goal has always been to provide a place of sanctuary and community to those in the local area. Your health and wellbeing matters to us.

We take great pride in what we do and our philosophy is simple – no matter how you feel when you arrive; we want you to leave feeling better, equipped with the knowledge and tools to stay feeling better.

Whether you are looking for something to nourish the heart, body or soul, we have something to offer you.

Our friendly team are here to point you in the right direction, give advice and show you around.

Our teachers and therapists are highly qualified and insured. Most are happy to have an informal chat to ensure they offer the right class or treatment for you.

Drop in, send us an email or give us a call with any questions and we will get in touch as quickly as we can.

The café is open all day and serves a wonderful range of homemade cakes, snacks, soups, salads, rolls and wraps. We firmly believe in using organic products where we can and our takeaway packaging is recycled and recyclable.

Just ask if you have special dietary requirements, we should be able to help in some way.

Feel free to pop in and chill out. You can also order lunches in advance for collection.

All of our rooms and studios are available for hire on an ad-hoc or permanent basis.

If you are looking for somewhere to base your practice and feel you can add to our extensive range of treatments then we would love to hear from you.

Rooms can also be used for business meetings, corporate events, 1-1s, private classes or clinics.
