Specific Conditions Treatable
Safe and suitable for all ages from babies to the elderly, Craniosacral Therapy works with the whole person and changes may occur in body, mind and spirit during and after sessions. People may come for Craniosacral Therapy because they have acute physical problems like headaches or bad backs, or long-standing problems both physical and emotional. Others come for ongoing support in their busy lives and for help to meet life’s challenges. Babies who have had traumatic or lengthy births, find feeding difficult or show symptoms of digestive distress respond well to the light cranial touch.
Benefits of therapy
Craniosacral Therapy supports your body’s innate ability to balance, restore and heal itself, as well as helping to reduce stress and build your underlying energy. What happens in a session?
Cathy will take a written case history, listening with care to the reasons for your visit. This part of the session is important, both for gathering information and to establish a good understanding with her. The session typically lasts an hour, although this can vary. You remain clothed and will usually lie face up or on your side, or you may be seated. Cathy then makes light contact with your head, the base of your spine, and other areas.
Length of session
Sessions usually last for 45 – 55 minutes and Cathy is available at different times during the week. Please contact her to find out more and book a therapy session. She runs a monthly Children’s Clinic.
